Welsh Rounders Revolution: Green Starlets tell S4C all about it!

December 3, 2023

Green Starlets from the Port Talbot Rounders League speak to S4C about their experience playing indoor rounders and outdoor rounders

According to the Welsh Language Commisioner, Meri Huws, “Sport is prominent in the lives of people in Wales – be it on the international stage or in our communities through clubs which are run by enthusiastic volunteers. I want the Welsh language to play an increasing role in sport, and for more people to have the chance to use it while training and competing.”

MyRounders has started a Rounders Revolution across South West Wales, whereby Green Starlets have flourished both at indoor rounders and outdoor rounders. Recently captain Ffion Edwards, players Lowri Targett, Ffion Targett and Eleanor Harris were invited to be interviewed by S4C about their experience whilst playing in the Port Talbot Rounders League.

Green Starlets said “You’re playing against young people and teams older than us. It’s nice, it’s sport for everyone. "
