We’re beyond excited to share that MyCommunity Rounders has received its first-ever funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – Neath Port Talbot Community Prosperity Fund to launch a truly transformative initiative: Inclusive Youth Rounders. This project is more than sport — it’s about giving young people a place to belong. A place to feel safe, seen, and supported. A place where laughter, teamwork, and confidence grow with every swing of the bat. We’re deeply grateful to Neath Port Talbot Council’s Families First Team for supporting us, and to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for believing in our vision. Together, we’re creating something special — a space where every young person feels they matter. This is just the beginning. What an unforgettable night we had at our 'No Ball, Ball – Special Recognition Awards Evening, 2025!' It was a fantastic celebration of the amazing individuals and teams who make MyRounders what it is, a vibrant, passionate, and growing community. ✨ Click here to watch our highlights video! ✨ From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was buzzing. We laughed, we danced, we shed a few tears – and most importantly, we celebrated the people who give so much of themselves to the game we all love. 🌟 Recognising Remarkable People, Players & Teams We were proud to honour members of our community who go the extra mile – whether that's League Coordinating, Umpiring, leading training sessions in their area, championing the sport within their teams, or shouting loudly about MyRounders at every opportunity. It was a night to spotlight the people who have found their passion in Rounders and help grow the game from the ground up. We also gave some special awards to teams that stand out for their fair- play on the pitch, and for their wicked sense of humour on social media. There were some incredible, emotional moments – including hearing from Rebecca of the 'Rhondda Rookies' rounders team, who shared her powerful personal journey. The surprise, pride, and joy on so many faces reminded us all just how much rounders means to so many. 🎶 Music, Magic & Dance Moves A huge thank you to the brilliant band The Scarletons, whose amazing set (and sensational sax player!) kept the dance floor packed until the very end. Their energy was electric and set the perfect tone for a night of celebration. 🎤 Umpire Choir Returns Our iconic Umpire Choir made another fantastic appearance, delivering a medley of songs and dance routines that once again showcased the talent and creativity that lives within our MyRounders family. The medley ended w ith a surprise performance by the Gaffa and Johno, our very own version of Ant and Dec – whose hilarious dance routine had everyone in stitches. Truly unforgettable! 🏏 Select XII Squad Trials We were also proud to invite 16 players from across Wales to trial for our 'Select XII' squad. A huge congratulations to every single one of you, we can’t wait to see what’s next for our team! A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came, celebrated, danced, shared stories, and made memories with us. You made the evening truly special!

Back in December 2024, our very own CEO Julie and Social Media Manager Amy were invited to join the brilliant Riff Room Podcast in Port Talbot, and what a chat it was! We sat down with two cracking lads who were genuinely curious (and hilarious!) about all things MyRounders. From the early days of launching in 2022 to the exciting growth across Wales, with 26 leagues and over 6,000 registered players (December, 2024) —they asked us some fantastic questions. One of the hosts, proudly wearing a 'Bryn it On' cap (his girlfriend’s team), had a personal connection to the positive impact rounders has had on women in the community. We laughed about some of the cheeky team names and had a heartfelt discussion about how hard it is to make new friends as adults. But that’s where social rounders shines - bringing people from all walks of life together through fun, friendship, and a shared love of the game. Teams have gone from strangers to travel buddies, from teammates to real life support systems. It’s a beautiful thing to witness, and we're so grateful for platforms like 'Riff Room Podcast' that help share our story. If you’d like to watch our full interview, just click here to tune in. We cover some seriously funny topics (you’ll definitely get a laugh!), but also dive into the heart of what MyRounders is really about - connection, community, and the happiness of playing a sport. Since that chat back in December, we’ve grown even more, now with over 8,000 registered players across Wales! While most take part in our vibrant mixed leagues, something we’re especially proud of is the rise of our women’s only leagues. These incredible spaces bring together women of all ages and abilities to play, support each other, and just have fun every single week. It’s honestly amazing to see, and we can’t wait for what’s next. MyRounders
