Membership FAQs
The Basics
What Is The MyRounders Membership?
The membership is a new annual player benefit. It includes access to a growing range of member benefits, not just personal injury insurance.
Full details of every benefit will be published in the customer portal but a highlight can be found below.
Players will start to be onboarded to the portal from May 2026, via email.
Is The Membership Mandatory?
Yes. From 1st July 2025, membership will be required to continue playing in any MyRounders league should your guest passes run out.
It covers every league a player participates in, there is no expectation to pay per team or per league.
One membership, one annual payment, no matter how many teams you play for.
How Much Does It Cost & When Can I get The Early Bird Price?
Early bird price:
£29.99 available from 1st June to 30th June only, exclusively for existing and OG MyRounders players (a 25% discount on the standard price).
Standard annual price:
£39.99, from 1st July onwards.
That works out a maximum of 77p per week across the year.
I Already Have My Own Insurance, Do I Still Have To Pay The Membership?
Yes — the membership is required for all players regardless of existing cover.
The insurance is just one element of what the membership provides. The broader benefits are available to every member and the mandatory structure ensures that everyone playing is equally covered and supported.
Having your own policy in place doesn't replace or reduce the membership requirement.
Can I Pay For Indoor And Outdoor Seasons Separately Every 6 Months?
The membership is an annual payment and is not currently split by season.
It covers a rolling 12 month period from when you join, so a player who only plays outdoors is still covered and has access to all membership benefits for the full year.
We understand some players are seasonal, the annual structure is designed to keep things simple and consistent across the whole community.
If you are players who only play one season, we'd encourage you to sign up at the early bird rate of £29.99 before 30th June to get the best value.
We also have a Guest Pass System that supports the player to play seasonally. See below.
Guest Passes
What Are Guest Passes & How Do They Work?
Guest passes allow occasional or substitute players to participate without needing a full membership.
Each player receives 23 guest passes per year, which renew 12 months from the first time they are used. Guest passes cannot be rolled over from year to year.
This will enable those that play seasonally (only indoor or only outdoor) to remain non-members if required.
Our memberships are to enhance the rounders experience, protect and look after players.
Once the Guest Passes are all used then the player will need to wait for the renewal or become a member.
The Guest Pass system acts as the 'opt out' requested by some of the community.
Are Guest Passes Per Player Or Per Team?
Guest passes are per player. They are designed to support team squads by covering players who dip in and out and are unlikely to need a full membership.
My Daughter Wants To Try The Women's Only League , Can She Use Guest Passes First?
Yes — guest passes are a great way for a new player to try the league before committing to a full membership.
Each player gets 23 guest passes per year, so your daughter could use those to play through a full summer season (or across indoor and outdoor) before needing to purchase membership.
Once the 23 passes are used, a full annual membership would be required to keep playing.
Timing & Rolling Out
When Does The Membership Become Compulsory?
1st July 2026 is the official membership requirement date, however read 'Guest Passes' to understand purchase of the membership isnt required immediately or by that date.
Portal onboarding begins at the start of May.
The early bird price window opens 1st June and closes 30th June.
Why Is This Being Rolled Out Mid Season?
The rollout is tied to the launch of the new MyRounders portal, that has been the driver for the timing.
The aim is to get the membership and its benefits available to players as quickly as possible. Using the portal is the best and smartest way to do that.
We understand this feels sudden and we've heard that feedback. We're committed to making the transition as smooth as we can and have adapted our Guest Pass system to accommodate that.
Does MyRounders Receive Commission On The Policies Sold?
This is a fair question, but no. A group policy has been invested in, there is no commission collected by MyRounders.
What About Discounts?
Do Captains Get Free Membership?
Yes — captains receive a free membership for as long as they hold the captaincy role.
This is our way of recognising the time and commitment that captains give to the community.
If captaincy is transferred to another player, the free membership moves with the role, it belongs to whoever is currently captain, not to a specific person.
The outgoing captain will become a non- member and will need to purchase their own membership if required.
If the incoming captain already holds a paid membership, their free entitlement will apply from their next renewal date, they won't be refunded for any period already paid.
Do League Coordinators & Umpires Receive Discounts?
Yes — League Coordinators (LCs) and Umpires receive a 50% discount on their annual membership. This is applied automatically to eligible staff.
This discount does not apply to the Early Bird.
What is a Duo Rate?
The Duo rate gives 15% off the combined total when two players registered at the same address both purchase a membership together.
It's available to any two players sharing a home, housemates, family members, partners, not just couples.
Example: Two players at the same address signing up at the standard rate of £39.99 each would normally pay £79.98. With the Duo rate, they'd pay £67.98 — saving £12 between them.
The Duo discount is tied to the shared address on the portal. If either player updates their address so the two no longer match, the discount will be removed at the next renewal. Both players would then renew at the standard individual rate.
The Duo discount does not apply to the Early Bird.
More To Come
What Other Benefits Are Lined Up?
The intention is to offer as much value as possible so players can enjoy rounders for longer.
The insurance is just one part of the membership. Currently we are also :
Working with Alecs Donovon at YBL to deliver Alecs's entire catalogue of 2,000+ yoga videos, warm-ups, recovery, flexibility, strength, restoration and everything in between. Every ability level. Every mood. Available on demand, any time, any day of the year.
Working with Martyn Wagstaff at Springfield Advisory to deliver a library of 12 short, practical mental health videos covering topics that people navigate every day, each with its own action worksheet to work through in your own time and at your own pace.
Working with Liz Hollis who is a certified Wim Hof Method instructor to deliver up to 12 guided breathwork and mindset videos, a structured journey you can work through in your own time, returning to the ones that resonate whenever life calls for it.
Working with Nathan Flear who is an elite international endurance athlete and a sleep and recovery specialist to deliver a structured programme of up to 10 short videos covering sleep science, recovery strategies and practical techniques for sleep and recovery.
Future hopes are to also add workshops, support and events to include mens health, bra fitting, menopause, periods and much more.
For younger familes we're also hoping to offer a free family day trip. The possibilities are endless and we are happy to also be guided by you the member.
What Does The Insurance Cover?
The policy is underwritten by Aviva and covers new and potential injuries sustained while playing rounders.
The full policy document, including all exclusions and limits, will be available on the player portal.
Pre-existing conditions will not be covered, as is standard with any personal accident policy. The insurance covers new injuries only.
The excess claim for Physiotherapy (only) is £50.
A claim will not increase individual player memberships. The policy cost is absorbed at organisational level and will not be passed back to players on renewal.
The policy covers rounders specifically.
The policy includes gym discounts across Wales including Pure Gym, Anytime Fitness and Nuffield Health and a 24/7 counselling phone line to support you in or outside of Rounders.
What Is The Fair Play Fund?
3% of your membership fee, matched pound for pound, by us goes into a community fund for MyRounders players when life gets hard.
Illness, redundancy, a personal crisis, whatever the reason, no one should have to leave the community they love because of circumstances beyond their control.
A volunteer group drawn from our community will oversee referrals. Criteria coming soon. Referrals made confidentially through the portal.
This is the part of MyMembership we're most proud of. It's not just insurance and gym discounts, it's a community that actually looks after its own.
